This Leifheit automatic plum pitter presents a very efficient way to destone plums for topping a cake. With the pestle reversed, the fruit pitter is also ideal for stoning mirabelle plums.
Equipped with stainless steel blades, the fruit corer destones and cuts the plums neatly for topping cakes. The pulp rolls into a bowl, while the stones fall into the large container that stands stably on 4 non-slip feet. At the same time, the next plum falls into the pitter. Thanks to the large, transparent collecting container, you can destone plenty of plums without having to worry about making a mess with the stones. After use, you just need to empty the container, and wash the device thoroughly under running water.
